Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we get asked most often about our braided brake and clutch lines, fitting, and ordering. Can't find what you need? Get in touch before you order.
Do you make custom-length or bespoke brake lines?
Yes – all our brake and clutch lines are made to order for your exact vehicle and application, rather than sold as generic pre-cut lengths. If you're running a lifted suspension, aftermarket axles, or a non-standard setup, let us know the details and we'll size accordingly.
What vehicles do you cover?
We specialise in Land Rover – Defender, Discovery, and Range Rover across most eras – alongside off-road and motorsport builds more generally. If you're not sure your vehicle is covered, get in touch with your model and engine and we'll confirm.
What's the difference between braided and standard rubber lines?
Standard rubber brake lines expand slightly under pressure, which can make the pedal feel spongy over time as they age. Braided steel lines resist that expansion, giving a firmer, more consistent pedal feel and greater resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and wear – particularly useful in off-road conditions where lines are exposed to mud, water, and rock strikes.
How long does an order take to make and ship?
Our brake and clutch line kits are made to order and are typically made and dispatched within 5 working days. If you need something sooner, let us know when ordering and we'll do what we can.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship UK and internationally. For international orders, import duties, taxes, and customs charges are not included in the product or shipping price and are the buyer's responsibility – please check with your local customs office before ordering.
ABS vs non-ABS brake lines – how do I know which I need?
This depends on whether your vehicle has an ABS modulator in the brake circuit, as it affects the routing and number of connection points needed. If you're unsure, send us your vehicle details (and photos of your existing lines/modulator if possible) and we'll confirm the correct configuration before you order.
Do your kits include fittings and washers?
Yes – our braided brake and clutch line kits come with the correct banjo bolts and copper crush washers pre-fitted where applicable. We recommend always replacing crush washers whenever a fitting or line has been removed, to maintain a secure seal.
What's your returns policy?
If you're not happy with anything, get in touch and we'll do what we can to sort it out. As most of our products are made to order for your specific vehicle, please double-check fitment details before ordering – contact us first if you're unsure.
Can you machine custom or one-off components?
Yes – we carry out all our CNC machining in-house on our own lathe, covering billet fittings, adaptors, and custom components alongside our standard product range. Get in touch with your requirements for a quote.
How do I get a bespoke quote?
Message us with your vehicle, application, and what you're looking to achieve, and we'll come back to you with options and pricing.
What's the difference between male and female bulkhead fittings on your Land Rover flexi lines?
Our flexi (rubber-to-caliper) brake lines terminate at the chassis/bulkhead bracket in one of two ways, depending on your vehicle and application:
- Male bulkhead fitting – the threaded end of the flexi passes through the bracket and is secured with a locknut on the opposite side, sealing directly against the bracket face.
- Female fitting with C-clip – the flexi has a female union that locates into the bracket and is retained with a spring/C-clip, with the hardline then threading into the female end.
Which one you need depends on your bracket type and hardline setup – if you're not sure which your vehicle uses, send us a photo of the existing bracket/fitting and we'll confirm before you order.
Ask before you order
Most fitment questions are quick to answer with a photo and your vehicle details – it's far easier to check before ordering than after.
