Heavy-duty silicone coolant hoses for the 200Tdi, a direct and longer-lasting upgrade over tired OEM rubber — in a choice of colours.

- Working temperature -50°C to +180°C — stable from a frozen start to sustained under-bonnet heat, made to SAE J20 R4 tolerances

Doesn't perish like rubber
OEM rubber coolant hoses live a hard life. Years of heat cycling harden the rubber while coolant and engine heat make it perish, crack and swell internally — narrowing the bore and eventually causing splits, leaks and roadside coolant loss. Silicone doesn't perish the way rubber does: it stays flexible across a huge temperature range, shrugs off repeated heat cycling and holds its shape and bore for years. The multi-ply polyester reinforcement resists collapse under vacuum and pressure, keeping your cooling system reliable rather than a known failure point.
Use the right antifreeze
The 200Tdi was designed around conventional IAT ethylene-glycol antifreeze — the traditional non-phosphate blue or green type. These hoses are fully compatible with it, and with modern 2-EHA-free coolants. Steer clear of coolants containing 2-ethylhexanoic acid (2-EHA), which attacks silicone over time, and never mix coolant types — flush fully before switching.
