Upgrade your Land Rover’s intake and turbo system with our fluorosilicone-lined silicone hose kit, engineered for the demands of hard-worked diesel and petrol engines on and off the road. Unlike standard silicone, every hose is built with a genuine Fluorosilicone (FVMQ/FSH) inner liner — the one upgrade that keeps an intake hose doing its job years down the line instead of softening and failing.
Genuine FVMQ inner liner resists fuels, oils, oil-laden intake air, OAT coolants and rust inhibitors.
Polyester-reinforced, 5.0mm wall, with the FVMQ liner bonded to the bore. Made to SAE J20 R4.
Stable from a frozen winter start to sustained boost-pipe and under-bonnet heat without hardening.
Why fluorosilicone (FSH) lined?
Standard silicone handles heat and pressure well, but it doesn’t cope with oil. On an intake and turbo system the air is never clean — crankcase breather gases and turbo seals push a constant fine oil mist through the hoses every time the engine runs. Over time that oil soaks into ordinary silicone and swells it from the bore outward, acting like a plasticiser that makes the hose go soft and spongy. Once softened, it can no longer hold its shape under boost, so it begins to balloon and eventually splits or blowing off.
The fluorosilicone (FVMQ) inner liner stops this at the source: the fluorine in the liner resists oil absorption, so the oil only ever contacts the FSH layer and never reaches the structural silicone wall behind it. The result is a hose that keeps its hardness, strength and pressure rating for the life of the vehicle, rather than degrading quietly from the inside out.
